Book Club
Read with Others
When you read a good book, sometimes you just want to talk about it - with someone else who's also read it. You can also join a silent reading party. Yes, that's a thing.
Watch this space for announcements of open book club meetings.
Ms. Woznick's Online Book Club
Join Ms. Woznick in an online book club from June 29 to July 10. Each day she'll read 2-3 chapters aloud. You can come to the Google Meet to listen and chat briefly with others, you can read/listen to it on your own and come when it works for you, or you can just come to the final meeting when we talk about the whole book on July 10. See this flyer for more information or fill out this form to sign up.
Public Library Virtual Book Clubs
Pick one of these and plan to attend a public library book club to talk about it! Email Meghan Karasin (karasin@noblenet.org) for details about the time and the link. These titles are available online through Hoopla with a Beverly Public Library card.
Truly Devious - Meets July 1
Truly Devious
Ellingham Academy is a private school in Vermont for the brightest thinkers, inventors, and artists. Shortly after the school opens, the founder's wife and daughter are kidnapped. The only real clue is a mocking riddle listing methods of murder, signed with the frightening pseudonym "Truly, Devious."
Gone
The first in Michael Grant's dystopian sci-fi saga, Gone is a page-turning thriller that invokes the classic The Lord of the Flies along with the horror of Stephen King. In the blink of an eye, everyone disappears. Gone. Except for the young. There are teens, but not one single adult.
